The superstar will appear in the criminal thriller Jailer, which was once (tentatively) known as Thalaivar 169. The title of the movie was changed to Jailer on June 17, 2022.
Star Cast Of The Movie Jailer
The Pan-Indian star Tamannaah Bhatia has been cast alongside Thalaivar, who was most recently seen in the Tamil action movie Annaatthe. Her movie was directed by Siva and released on Diwali 2021. Rajinikanth plays a key role in the movie Jailer.
In 2022, Tamannaah made appearances in two Telugu films and two Hindi films, with the Telugu comedy film F3: Fun and Frustration. She co-starred with Venkatesh, Varun Tej, and Mehreen Pirzada, becoming a big hit. Her performances in the two Hindi movies Babli Bouncer and Plan A Plan B, which were immediately published on the OTT platform, were praised by critics.
The 40-year-old actress will be collaborating with Thalaiva for the first time. Along with these performers, Ramya Krishnan of “Baahubali” fame will also join the cast and take on a significant role. Vasantha Ravi will also portray a villain, while important parts for Kannada actors Shiva Rajkumar, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, and Yogi Babu are also being discussed.
According to recent rumours, Rajini’s Jailer would have a cameo by Malayalam actor Mohanlal.
Jailer will depict the events of the narrative as occurring all in one night. It is an action comedy, and 65% of the film’s shooting has apparently been finished, including reportedly 75% of Rajini’s scenes.
The Release Date of Jailer Release
Rajinikanth has joined the cast, and filming has started. The movie has not yet been given a release date. It is anticipated to be launched in April 2023. The budget of the movie is at Rs.175 crore.
About the Movie
The movie’s director is actor-turned-director Nelson Dilipkumar, whose credits include the films Doctor, Beast, and Kolamavu Kokila. His fourth movie to be directed is Jailer. Sun Pictures is funding it, and Anirudh has been brought in to write the soundtrack.
The movie’s title and formal release date were both confirmed in June of this year. The movie’s narrative is believed to centre on a prison break in which a gang tries to release their leader but is stopped by the jailer.
