2022 Jack’s World Series of Darts Finals Day 1 Results, Venue, Draw, Tickets, And Penultimate Day Schedule
Sherrock, who just won the first Women’s World Matchplay, delivered her signature shots in front of a sold-out audience at the AFAS Live as she first pinned the bull for a 73 checkout to lead 3-2 before nailing a 120 finish to tie the score at 4-4. Wright maintained his composure, however, and used legs of 13 and 15 darts to avoid a last-leg shootout and secure his spot in round two, where he will face Michael Smith in a rematch of the World Championship final from January. Meanwhile, Danny Noppert and Dirk van Duijvenbode of the Netherlands won their respective matches against Simon Whitlock and Haupai Puha.
Damon Heta, who defeated Gordon Mathers 6-3 in an all-Australian match, will be Michael van Gerwen’s first opponent in his quest for a fifth World Series Finals victory. Leonard Gates defeated Devon Petersen 6-4 in his first TV appearance outside of the United States to advance to a matchup with James Wade. Ryan Joyce, who will now play first seed Dimitri Van den Bergh, narrowly defeated Gates’ countryman Danny Baggish in a last-leg thriller. Dave Chisnall defeated Jamie Hughes 6-3 and will now play Joe Cullen.
The victors from Saturday’s second round will be back for Sunday’s Finals Day, which will feature the quarterfinals in the afternoon session before the semifinals and final in the evening. For the event, there are a few tickets left for the Jack’s World Series of Darts Finals on ticketmaster.nl.
