Carlo Ancelotti has shut down talks of Real Madrid aspiring towards a transfer for Cristiano Ronaldo
In the final year of his contract at Serie A side Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo is being speculated to a move away from the club this season itself. With reports coming in for the player disinterested in extending his deal, Juventus are looking to offload the Portuguese in a bid to not lose him for free.
Adding to the narrative is news of Ronaldo being disgruntled at the club since last season. With Juventus enduring one of their worst campaigns in year in the 2020/21 season as an Antonio Conte lead Inter Milan broke their dominance in the league, Ronaldo was said to have grown discontent at the side.
While Pavel Nedved has on a slew of occasions denied Ronaldo parting company with Juventus, rumors of him leaving the side have once again resurfaced. The aftermath of Lionel Messi’s move to PSG is said to have come down hard on Kylian Mbappe who is said to be dismayed with no longer being in the limelight in Paris.
Carlo Ancelotti Shuts Down Transfer Talk Between Real Madrid And Cristiano Ronaldo
It has sparked reports of Real Madrid looking to sign Mbappe, a player who has for way too long been in the club’s sights. Any potential deal would spark PSG looking to replace Mbappe with Ronaldo as they looking to build a truly all-star side.
In the midst of these reports, Ronaldo has also been touted to a potential return to Real Madrid. However, new manager Carlo Ancelotti has quelled those links as he took to Twitter to affirm that while he respected Ronaldo, he in no way had asked Real Madrid to sign him.
Cristiano es una leyenda del Real Madrid y tiene todo mi cariño y respeto. Nunca me he planteado ficharle. Miramos hacia adelante. #HalaMadrid
