Ittoki the Ninja is neither a huge disappointment nor a home run. Since the series is unique and must find its own audience, its success or failure is likely to depend on itself. The idea is funny and would make a great comedy, but the show only uses it very briefly most of the time. Even though this could be much better, all we ever hear are the most obvious jokes.

Ittoki and Kousetsu go to a Kokuten Ninjutsu Academy to learn how to become ninjas. They soon find out, though, that most of the students come from the Koga village, which gives the Koga a lot of power in the school. Even so, two other students, Ryoko and Kirei, become friends with Ittoki.

Kirei tells Ittoki not to get angry at them because the rich students at Koga will use any reason to scare him. During their first ninja lesson, Ittoki and the other students will be told to use a Ninja Core or Ninja Suit to climb a tower, grab a man, and then bring him back to where they started. But they have to catch them before the headmaster eats all the Manj.
Ittoki has never worn a ninja outfit before, and he has trouble moving around until Ryoko, who comes from a tribe that makes ninja gear, helps him adjust the outfit to his size. As he walks to the tower, he thinks that the Koga students may have taken Kireis Manj.
He will get angry and attack the Kogas men before the headmaster steps in. However, Ittoki will be able to steal the Manj from them and give it to Kirei without them knowing. The last Manj will be eaten by the headmaster, while Ittoki takes way too long to do his job.
Ittoki will find out after the mission that none of the other students want to hang out with him. Because of pressure from the Koga students. However, he will feel better knowing that Kousetsu, Ryoko, and Kirei will be there for him. In the meantime, Tokisada will get a mission to break into the Koga.
