China is the tournament’s top-seeded team in the men’s and women’s team competitions, having won the title last year.

Twenty-four teams will advance to compete for the championship trophy. At the end of the season, the top eight teams will advance to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Eight groups of five teams competing in the team events for men and women will try to move on to the knockout round. Best-of-five singles matches determine each match, while individual matchups are best-of-five games.
A round robin format will be used, with each group’s four teams competing against one another. 24 teams proceed in total after the round robin stage, with the top three teams from each group moving on to the knockout stage.
Teams from the same group will not play each other again in the first round as the winners of each group will be seeded and the remaining teams will be drawn into the knockout stages.
South Korea will host the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals for the first time; the draw was held in the Busan e-Sports Arena last month.
When and where is the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships 2024?
From February 16 to 25, 2024, 10 days of heart-pounding action will take place at the prestigious Busan Exhibition and Convention Centre (BEXCO) as part of the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals Busan 2024, presented by BNK Busan Bank.
Korea Republic is the centre of attention worldwide as it hosts the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals for the first time.
The campaign’s opening match for the Indian men’s team is scheduled for February 17 against Chile, while the women’s team’s opening match is set for February 16 against China. Check out India’s full schedule below:
