Ups and Downs in Formula 1

Pierre Gasly’s Formula 1 career began in 2017 with Red Bull’s sister team Toro Rosso being a part of the Red Bull Junior Team. He showed excellent driving ability competing in the very crowded midfield of Formula 1.

Following his extraordinary performances for Toro Rosso, he was given the second seat left vacant by Daniel Ricciardo but was not able to replicate his performance with Red Bull. In his 12 Grand Prix appearances with Red Bull, he managed to grab the fastest lap of the race twice failing to finish on the podium and winning the race.

Red Bull quickly started questioning their decision of promoting Gasly and demoted him to Toro Rosso giving the seat to Alex Albon. After returning to Toro Rosso, he won his first-ever Grand Prix and has since secured two podiums for the Alpha Tauri which is the new name of Toro Rosso.
