Despite Brooklyn Nets making it blatantly clear that they won’t be paying Kyrie Irving a penny till he meets the COVID-19 vaccine mandate in stronghold, the player has stuck with his anti-vax stance.

Irving has been adamant on not getting the vaccination with the Nets going onto completely sideline him from their starting rotations till the player complies. Irving’s stance has divide opinion with a slew of debates erupting, ones both in favour and against the player’s decision.

While Irving’s move makes for a perplexing one with his decision affecting those around him unlike his flat Earth theory, Irving has managed to rake in support in his favour. Rapper Chris Brown has become the latest person to come out in support of his friend with him going as far as to label Irving as a hero for refusing to get vaccinated.

Chris Brown Comes Out In Support Of Kyrie Irving

Brown took to Instagram as he posted an image of the sidelined Brooklyn Nets player on the social media site with the text, “THE REAL HERO!!!”

He continued: “I stand with my brother. WHOEVER DON’T LIKE IT Go live your damn life IT’S HIS CHOICE AND A DAMN GOOD ONE.”

Although Irving’s decision is set to cost him half of the $35 million he earns at the Nets, the player recently went onto say he was least perturbed about the financial ramifications.

“It’s not always about the money. It’s about choosing what’s best for you. You think I really want to lose money?” Irving had said of his decision.
