In the build up to the final of Euro 2020, if there was one thing which everyone wanted to clobber, it was the excruciatingly painful chant of it’s coming home by English supporters.

A chant given birth to at the world, it’s coming home made no sense whatsoever given that the English had never reached the final of Euro till date, leave alone win it. However, least perturbed by the logical side of things, the country’s absurd supporters continued to blow their horns.

And it weren’t only football supporters and ardent viewers across the global stage who were perturbed by the war cry. Footballers had made their displeasure known as well with Denmark’s Kasper Schmeichel going onto ask if it ever really had been home.

Giving Kasper coming in taking a swipe at the torrid English supporters was Italy’s Leonardo Bonucci. As Gianluigi Donnarumma saved Bukayo Saka’s penalty to ensure the Italians reigned supreme in penalties, Bonucci rushed over the camera, bellowing, “It’s coming to Rome” into it.
