“It’s a song, man,” Kanye West Reveals Why Michael Jordan Still Doesn’t Talk To Him

Kanye West talked about how Michael Jordan was still ghosting him despite his hoard of attempts to reconcile

Appearing on Drink Champ, Kanye West sat down to talk about a slew of topics ranging from his scuffle with Drake, trying to free Larry Hoover Sr. and his marriage with Kim Kardashian.

However, those weren’t the only things the rapper spoke about. He also dwelled upon his relationship with Michael Jordan and talked about how the NBA legend still refused to talk to him. Kanye went onto reveal that MJ was far from pleased with the lyrics of his song Facts, furor which had not died down to date.

In the song, Kanye says, “Yeezy just jumped over the Jumpman.” The lyrics were said to be Kanye’s jibe at MJ, ones where he talked about how his brand Yeezy was better selling than Jordan’s. While Kanye did apologise for it a year later, Jordan was having none of it with West revealing that the basketball player refused to reply to his messages even in 2021.

“Jordan still won’t meet with me. I am trying to meet with Michael Jordan. I’m like, ‘It’s a song, man.’ Michael Jordan said this thing like, ‘Why y’all acting like Virgil (Abloh) made me hot? These shoes is hot,” Kanye said as he spoke about his feud with MJ on Revolt TV’s Drink Champ.

West had previously claimed that the lyrics were directed towards Nike CEO Mark Parker and not Michael Jordan. He had also tried to clear the air by issuing a public apology which said, “I’m sorry Michel Jordan. I love and respect you. My beef was with Mark Parker. I respect you so much.”
