Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane were seen in an episode of Follow The Blues as the two talked about their WTC final journey and the upcoming contest
They might not be talked about in the same vein as some of the Indian team’s stalwarts but Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara have been integral to India’s campaign in the maiden edition of the World Test Championship.
Where Rahane is the side’s leading scorer, Pujara’s girt and gustiness came to the fore as he spearheaded the side’s soiree in testing conditions. The two will once again be required to show their mettle in English conditions which will knacker these two.
Pujara And Rahane Open Up On Playing In The WTC Final 2021
The two spoke about the importance of the World Test Championship in an epoxide of Star Sports’ Follow The Blues. With both spending time with the Indian side in the test format, for either the impending marquee final is of colossal meaning.
“Personally it means a lot to me because I’m only only playing test cricket and I know it’s the toughest one. so playing the Final test match at Southampton means a lot to me,” Pujara said.
Ajinkya Rahane said,” We’ve been playing consistently good cricket for the past two years and as a cricket and as a result, we are in the finals of WTC. Now we are going to play the first-ever world championship for test cricket at Southampton on June 18. Its always been a special feeling for us.”
The Challenge Of Playing At Southampton
Pujara also talked about the challenges of playing in England as he talked about the conditions at hand. The Indian bat spoke about how the weather played a crucial rule in determining a batsman’s approach with the ever changing dynamics of rain in the country making it a gruelling task to take on the pacers.

For India, both Pujara and Rahane will be required to showcase the fight and determination which took the Indian side this far. The Black Caps were lethal against England off late, decimating them inside four days in the second test match to ease through to an 8 wicket win.
