The championship game is scheduled for March 18, 2023, and the playoffs will start on March 3. Mumbai City FC and Hyderabad FC, the top two teams in the rankings, have already secured their spots in the postseason for the 2022–23 campaign.

The six teams ill in contention for the final two spots are Bengaluru FC, Odisha FC, FC Goa, ATK Mohun Bagan, and Kerala Blasters. Compared to the other teams, East Bengal has little chance of making the playoffs.

Five games remain for the majority of the clubs, but only four remain for Bengaluru FC and FC Goa, including the match that will be played on their last matchday.

Bengaluru’s remaining games require them to face elite opposition, which makes the road to the playoffs much more difficult.
