The Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 season is drawing its climax as teams look to book a spot in the playoffs, check out the playoffs schedule, fixtures, current points table standings, and more

The upcoming schedule for the ISL 2022-23 playoffs is divided into two one-leg eliminators, two-legged semifinals and then the final round.

The top six teams from the ISL 2022-23 will qualify for the playoffs unlike the previous season where only four teams qualified.

ISL 2022-23 Format

In the ISL 2022-23 playoffs, the top two teams on the points table will qualify directly for the semi-final round. Teams that finish in the 3rd-6th spot will take part in the eliminators to book a spot in the playoffs.

In the first match of the eliminators round, the third-placed team will face the sixth-placed side. Whereas in the second eliminator round, the fourth-placed side will host the fifth-placed team.

The winner of Eliminator 1 will meet the 2nd placed team in the final table standings for the Semifinal 1. On the other hand, the winner of Eliminator 2 will go up against the table-toppers in the 2nd Semifinal match.

The ISL Season 9 semifinals will be played out across two legs. Each team will get a chance to play at home once each and the two winners from the semifinals will qualify for the final round.

With the season almost ending, teams from third to eighth place still have chances to qualify for the playoff spots. However, the bottom-placed NorthEast United and Jamshedpur have no more chances qualifying. Ninth placed East Bengal also have only a small chance of booking their spots.

Kerala Blasters, ATK Mohun Bagan, FC Goa, Bengaluru FC and Odisha FC are the six teams which can still book a playoff spots.

East Bengal, ATK Mohun Bagan, Chennaiyin FC and FC Goa have only four matches left to secure their spots. Meanwhile, Kerala Blasters, Bengaluru FC, and Odisha FC have only three matches remaining to secure a playoffs spot.
