Six teams have the chance to advance through the league stage and make their claim on the ISL trophy for the first time in the league’s history.

Strong competitions are going on for the remaining 4 spots after Mumbai City FC and Hyderabad FC had advanced to the next round.

There are currently four berths up for grabs, and teams like Kerala Blasters, ATK Mohun Bagan, FC Goa, Odisha FC, Bengaluru FC, and Chennaiyin FC are vying for them.

The playoffs and March final for the 2022–23 season have been set, according to the Indian Super League (ISL).

The final will be played on March 18, 2023, with the playoffs beginning on March 3.

The games will be held at the homes of the third and fourth-place clubs. On March 7, 9, 12, and 13, there will be four home-and-away semifinal contests. All matches will be played at 7:30pm IST.

The top two clubs after the league stage advance directly to the semifinals. In a single-leg play-off to determine the other two semi-finalists, the teams placing third through sixth will compete.

Bengaluru’s recent return to form suggests that the competition is fierce. Chennai had to prevail in every match, which proved to be too difficult aim for them.

  • Knockout 1: 3rd March – 4 (Home team) vs 5 (Away Team)
  • Knockout 2: 4th March – 3 (Home team) vs 6 (Away)
  • Semi-final 1 – 1st leg: 7th March – 1 (Home team) vs Winner of Knockout 1
  • Semi-final 2 – 1st leg: 9th March – 2 (Home team) vs Winner of Knockout 2
  • Semi-final 1 – 2nd leg: 12th March – Winner of Knockout 1 (Home team) vs 1
  • Semi-final 2 – 2nd leg: 13th March – Winner of Knockout 2 (Home team) vs 2

Meanwhile, in their Indian Super League (ISL) match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Tuesday, Kerala Blasters outlasted Chennaiyin FC 2-1 to get closer to the playoffs.

Blasters improved their third-place standing with the victory, their seventh at home in nine games this year. While Chennaiyin’s chances of making the playoffs are all but gone, the Yellow Brigade has 31 points from 17 games.
