Indian Super League which is the top-tier football league in India is all set to kick off. Moreover, the prize money of the tournament is said to increase as the pandemic affected a lot in the last season. When ISL started the Champions Atletico Kolkata received Rs.8 crore whereas Kerala Blasters received Rs.4 crores.

Comparing this to last season, the amount didn’t change much. The reason behind the decreased prize pool was the Covid-19 pandemic. This season also, the games will be played under closed stadiums. However, in the latter stages of the tournament, we can witness fans in the game. So, here are all the details about ISL 2021-22 prize money.

ISL 2021-22 Winners Prize Money, Distribution And Awards List

As of now, AIFF has not announced the prize pool, but we can expect growth in it. Moreover, the ISL has grown a lot and many of the global players are taking part in the game. Considering the pandemic, AIFF has not revealed the actual prize pool as it might differ.

Considering last season, the prize pool was $2.02 million which might increase a little this season. So, let’s have a look at the prize pool of last season:

  • Winners/Champions – Mumbai City, $1.01 Million (Rs.8 crores)
  • Runner ups – ATK Mohun Bagan,  $540,650 ( Rs.4 crores )
  • Semi-Finalists – Northeast United And FC Goa$202,500 (Rs.1.5 crores)

There were many individual and team awards other than this. Awards like Golden boot, the man of the match, and Emerging Player of the League. Let’s have a look at those awards too.

Best Pitch Award: $13,500 (INR 10 Lakhs)

Golden Glove Winner: $4,500 (INR 3 Lakhs)

Hero of the League Award: $6,800 (INR 5 Lakhs)

Emerging Player of the League: $3,400 (INR 2.5 Lakhs)

Winning Pass of the League: $1,380 (INR 1 Lakh)

Winning Team Match Bonus: $680 (INR 50,000)

Man of the Match: $680 (INR 50,000)

Moment of the Match: $350 (INR 25,000)

This season the amount might increase a little and we might see a prize pool of $2.50 million or even touching the $3 million mark.

ISL 2021 Broadcasting Rights Price And Revenue

Star Sports India is the official broadcaster of the tournament. Last season, they earned around $20 million from the ad services. Unlike other leagues in Europe, the money is not shared with the teams of the league.
