According to the most recent sources, the campaign has already gathered more than USD 600,000 in donations. Ahbap, CARE Turkey, CARE Syria, and AKUT Association are the NGOs that gain from this. HasanAbi made it clear that he did not want to collaborate with businesses affiliated with the Turkish government. He announced the fundraiser on Twitter and raised $150,000 in just over 15 minutes.

Numerous Twitch users immediately denounced it as a scam as soon as HasanAbi informed his fans on his social media accounts. When fans urged YouTuber Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkin to refrain from contributing to the fundraising, the news really took off.
HasanAbi defended his charity in a statement. He claimed that individuals are actively attempting to spoil his fundraising efforts. He expressed his displeasure and worry about viewers’ attempts to dissuade IShowSpeed and other donors from contributing to his cause. According to rumours, IShowSpeed was giving the charity $50,000.
Charles Christopher White Jr., better known by his online handle MoistCr1Tikar, expressed his surprise that people are trying to discredit Hasan’s fundraising and characterise it as a fraud. He stated that the people who are calling him a fraud don’t have to like him but since he has been doing a good deed everyone should appreciate him instead of getting furious.
However, there have been no verifiable allegations of the fundraiser being a fraud up to this point. HasanAbi has additionally made it known that he won’t use any government agencies to distribute the funds; instead, he’ll use them to directly assist those in need.
