A video of YouTuber IShowSpeed being ‘the first person in the world’ to jump over a moving car has gotten people talking on social media
The 19-year-old American YouTuber from Ohio, Darren Jason Watkins Jr., is well-known not just for his gaming videos but also for his audacious and even perilous journeys.
With over 27 million YouTube subscribers, several million Twitter followers, and over 20 million Instagram followers, IShowSpeed, better known as Speed, has amassed an enormous following. Yesterday, the user shared a death-defying stunt on Instagram, dividing people in the process.
Is the video of IShowSpeed jumping over his moving CR7 Lamborghini Huracan car being driven by his dad real or fake as it goes viral on Twitter/X
IShowSpeed is seen in the video sporting a Ronaldo football uniform. He starts to get ready to jump over a car in an attempt to become “the first person in the world,” and as the camera pans, you can see the Lambourgini accelerating in the distance as it gets ready to charge right at the YouTuber. Speed jumps up, sending his legs and arms hurtling into the air and his knees rising up to his armpits, thankfully out of the reach of the vehicle’s top.
He leaps back toward the camera to rejoice after landing back on his feet with amazing grace. Speed can be heard shouting, “First person in the world. Everybody like, subscribe and follow me.”
The car was being driven by his dad and recorded by his brother.
And perhaps even more stunning than Speed jumping a car that is speeding is when, at the end of the video, Speed approaches the driver and says, “I love you, Dad.”
Was the stunt real?
The stunt looked so ridiculous that some felt it was a hoax right away and quickly expressed their suspicions on social media.
fun fact i had to jump over the car 3 times bc the drone diddnt record the first 2 times💀💀💀

The drone Speed used to capture the feat failed to record on the first two attempts, so he had to redo it three times, he stated in a tweet on his other Twitter/X account. In a follow-up post, his video editor shared clips he’d captured of Speed doing the jump, proving that he had done the trick multiple times.
“On my entire life he really did that sh*t three times. Here’s the other two takes. He’s genuinely insane,” he wrote.

That didn’t end the speculations, though, so Speed’s editor sent out another tweet with many views of the stunt taken from the drone’s perspective as well as a still from the film that showed his shadow over the car which all but confirmed that the video was real and not editted.
I’ve done this before except it was VFX. I went through frame by frame and this looks 100% legit — watch his shadow on the top of the car

Logan Paul also weighed in on the matter, claiming to have called Speed to confirm the authenticity of the footage. Paul claimed to have pulled off a similar prank before. He, however, just used visual effects.
