A look at Dead By Daylight’s ‘The Unknown’ and is the new killer transphobic
The most recent chapter of Dead by Daylight, All Things Wicked, adds a new map called Greenville Square, a new Survivor named Sable Ward, and a new Killer named The Unknown to the multiplayer action horror game.
In Dead by Daylight, an asymmetric horror game, you can take on the role of ruthless and murderous Killers who must sacrifice Survivors to the all-powerful Entity. The Unknown voiced by trans actress Zoey Alexandria, invades the world of the Entity with the All Things Wicked Chapter, intent on causing chaos.
Is ‘The Unknown’ new killer in Dead By Daylight (DBD) voiced by Zoey Alexandria really transphobic
In Dead by Daylight, each Killer has a distinct Power. The Unknown’s power, known as UVX; a codename for Unknown Venom X; is distinct from any other Killer’s power in Dead by Daylight.
If you make the most of The Unknown’s Power, you can easily sacrifice every Survivor in a battle. The Unknown is a distinct and terrifying Killer. Meanwhile, the character has caused some controversy. The Unknown is a genderless shapeshifter that has the ability to “adapt its appearance as needed,” according to its lore.
In the end, it’s a strange being that appears frequently in the game as a twisted humanoid with a voice that alternates between being masculine and feminine. It has other outfits as well, some more feminine and some more masculine. One costume features the creature dressed like a pink cheerleader.
A few transgender people are not pleased with The Unknown, the new killer in Behaviour Interactive’s hugely popular survival horror video game and the character’s transgender voice actor, Zoey Alexandria, has voiced concerns with the character’s appearance and is among many who are upset.
โClearly transphobic skins โ
Iโm trans and this is so fucking stupid. Itโs bad she is being harassed. But likeโฆ..THE SKINS ARNT TRANSPHOBIC THERE MEANT TO BE THE CREATURE TAKING THE FORM OF ITS VICTIMS AND THE UNKNOWN HAS NO GENDER

The voice actor for the Dead by Daylight, who goes by Zoey Alexandria and is a man posing as a woman, claimed that creator Behaviour Interactive had duped him into โvoicing a stereotypeโ and is now requesting reparations. As noted by YouTuber Melonie Mac, the voice actor remarked in a social media post:
โI voiced the character โthe unknownโ in dead by daylight. At the time of voicing, it was a great experience.
Further was said:
I was told at the time I was voicing the character that there was no model and that the creature was supposed to be amorphous. They had no model design before I recorded my lines.
He continued:
So itโs my assumption that the design team, took my medical history, and my ability to use multiple voices as an opportunity to create character models that encapsulate my medical history as trans, and capitalize no catering to the transphobic community.โ
He further said that he was made to speak in a stereotypical manner. Thousands of people have been harassing him online for being trans since yesterday.
At the end of the day we know that the Unknown wasn't made to be transphobic. I bet in a week this will die down. I will not let shitty people stop me from enjoying peak. pic.twitter.com/XCTRNTDUED

Alexandria subsequently issued an extra X post in which she corrected her initial remarks, stating that some individuals “misunderstood” her writing and requesting that people refrain from labelling Behaviour or its staff as transphobic.
There has been a recent misunderstanding. Anybody that thinks the skins are going away is not in the loop. Behavior is allegedly aware of the mass transphobic remarks and memes being made, and the gaming community is not a reflection of the game developers. I wasnโt kept in theโฆ
