These aquatic creatures were probably albino bottlenose dolphins. Gene alterations affecting melanin production are the cause of albinism. Animals that lack melanin, the pigment that determines the colour of their eyes, skin, and fur, frequently seem white.

Albino dolphins seem pink because blood vessels are visible through their white skin. Albinos can have the trait in any animal kingdom, although they frequently encounter challenges to thriving in the wild, such as low vision. Humans are affected by it as well; in the US, one in every 18,000 to 20,000 persons gets the illness.

This week, pictures of a pink dolphin appeared on social media and captivated thousands of people. On X, users reported seeing the endangered aquatic creature off the coast of North Carolina. Upon thorough examination of the images, it was discovered that the dolphin is consistently in the same stance in every picture and has an odd plastic appearance. It appears synthetic or AI-generated.
