The movie starts with a young Baskhar who is a disillusioned cashier. His break comes when Antony, an electronic smuggler, seeks a loan to bribe customs officials. Initially, Baskhar was hesitant, he eventually steals money from the bank vault. It marks his initiation into the financial crime.
His career advances when three corrupt senior officials are fired, paving the way for his promotion. Later, his new position introduces him to influential clients, including Harsha Mehra, who’s a stock market manipulator.
His schemes begin to unravel when the scale of the fake receipts jeopardizes the stability of India’s financial system. He was haunted by guilt and fearful for his family, Baskhar decides to distance himself from the fraudulent activities and attempts to expose corruption.
It all began to go downhill when Baskhar and Katari Bank’s manager began to discover the true extent of the crime and how much fake bank receipts were floating in circulation and this posed a grave danger to the entire Indian economy and stock market. Due to excess stress from such news, the bank manager died of a stroke and this shook Baskhar to his core and this moment marked a turning point in his life.
