Why Did Swoboda Switch Hands in Salute Video?
Traditionally, a military salute is done with the right hand as Ewa did in the starting of her video, however, she switched her hands, as e left-handed gesture is seen as a civilian greetings.

As per a document by the US department of defense, only right-handed salutes are permitted by the Army and Air force customs. So, now you may have gotten an idea why Ewa Swoboda switched her hands right!

For the curious, during the 65th anniversary of Barbie, Mattel honored 9 trailblazing athletesโ worldwide including tennis legend Venus Williams, soccer star Mary Fowler among many more. Ewa Swoboda, was also amongst those athletes.

The Polish sprinter has overcome significant challenges, including online hate and abuse to rise to a track and field star. The athlete is widely recognized as a 3-time European indoor championships medalist and a world indoor championships medalist.
Ewa holds the world lead of 7.01 seconds in the 60 m race. The Polish athlete even broke the national record in 60 m twice at the Orlen Cup in Lodz, setting a new record of 7.00 seconds in 2022.
Later, the same year, she again broke the record at the Polish indoor championships in Torun with a time record of 6.99 seconds. Swoboda is also known for her distinctive tattoos, including a cat on her chest in honor of one of her pet.
She has 10 tattoos on her left leg, making her an unconventional pin-up in her homeland. Reports indicates that she is currently dating hurdler Krzysztof Kiljan. Previously, she was in a relationship with Polish shot putter Konrad Bukowiecki who she met at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
