After the video went viral across social media platforms especially X/Twitter, netizens came forward as they are demanding a strict and immediate action. Witnessing the viral video, the authorities initiated an investigation into the matter and registered a case under the Prohibition of Ragging Act.
Reports indicates that the alleged incident that believed to be took place on February 2, 2024, involves some students who have been graduated as stated by CI Chintala Krishna Reddy of One Town Police Station.
He expressed the severity of ragging as a punishable offence and assured that strict actions would be taken against the accused and justice would be served to the victims. He furthermore emphasized that a case has been registered against the students involved.
