Recently, social media platforms, especially X/Twitter, TikTok, and Reddit, have been buzzing with a viral video of Shameik Moore and Laura Harrier, who are seen together at an event with the one year old video recently posted by Shamiek online to spark speculations of the two being romantically involved.
However, this is not the case with Laura engaged while Shamiek is currently single and unmarried.
What Exactly Happened?
The now-viral video, captioned, “coming soon,” with a music note emoji, sparked widespread attention from netizens as they started speculating that the two are involved in a romantic relationship.
After the video went viral across social media platforms, the 34-year-old actress and model took to her TikTok and shared a video to clarify the situation.
In the now-deleted video, Laura Harrier revealed that she had asked Moore directly to delete the post, however, the musician refused to do so.
The actress even emphasized that she was engaged and had no desire to be involved in any content suggesting otherwise.
What Did Laura Harrier Say?
In her now-deleted video, Harrier can be heard saying, “When he first posted that video, a friend sent it to me and was like, ‘Did you know he put this up?’ And I was like, no.
“That was taken a year ago at a party when somebody asked us to take photos together, and I guess someone filmed it. Not sure why you would post that now.”
Whole expressing her frustration, the actress went ahead and called Moore a “f*cking weirdo.” In her statement, she can be heard saying, “I don’t like my marriage being disrespected. I don’t like feeling disrespected myself.”

How Did Shameik Moore Respond?
A day after Harrier shared the video online, Moore posted an apology video, addressing Harrier’s comments and describing the situation as a “misunderstanding.”
In his now-deleted video, the actor explained that the video was intended to promote his art, with its aesthetic aligning with a song, and denied it was meant to imply a relationship.
In his video, Moore was heard saying, “This is all a misunderstanding. Unfortunately, it’s public. It’s really the fan-fiction and commentary that’s what’s f*cking weird. I mean no harm. I have no ill intent.”
He further added, For me, it’s about art. The video had the aesthetic of the song. That’s it. It wasn’t insinuating a relationship. I apologize for the misunderstanding, I do.”
Let us remind you, this isn’t the first time when Shameik Moore has caught himself in a controversy. Previously, he embroiled himself in a speculation of a potential relationship with Hailee after he shared a cryptic tweet following the engagement of Hailee Steinfeld to Josh Allen.
