The new update has brought in lots of new features like a brand-new defender named Solis, and a new map called Nighthaven Labs.

However, despite all the new features, fans are only eager to know whether the new update will feature cross platform multiplayer and cross-progression features.
Will Rainbow Six Siege Y7S4 Feature Crossplay And Cross-Platform Multiplayer
The short answer is yes, Rainbow Six Siege will indeed feature crossplay in the new year 7 season 4 update. Moreover, Rainbow Six (R6) will also now support cross platform multiplayer between PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Series X/S.
All of the above news was confirmed through the Y7S4 update patch notes. Sadly, PC users will not be able to use the crossplay feature with Console users. PC and Console users will be set apart into separate matchmaking pools.
Besides the new cross platform gameplay for consoles, the Solar Raid update also brings the reputation score display beta as well as ranked 2.0.
Does R6 Have Cross-Progression?
Rainbow Six Siege Year 7 Season 4 will feature cross-progression mode between PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X/S, and PC. Player can simply access the Cross-progression mode by logging into Ubisoft Connect on any of the above stated console platforms.
They can use the cross-progression feature to carry over any type of in-game content. Players can pass on in-game items such as credits, cosmetics, operators, packs, and boosters. Besides carrying over game items, the cross-progression feature also allows players to now pass on their current rank and rank history as well.
However, players will not be able to pass skill level MMR, which will be kept separate between consoles and PC. However, Rainbow Six Siege Year 7 Season 4 players may choose to carry over their skill levels between PlayStation and Xbox, but they cannot transfer it over to computers.
