Natalie ‘Samantha’ Rupnow was named as the suspect in Monday’s horrific shooting at Madison’s Abundant Life Christian School with reports online claiming she’s a transgender
At least three people, including the shooter, were confirmed dead when Police Chief Shon Barnes stated that the event happened in a classroom.
Six more people have been hurt, including two who are critically ill and may not survive while two have been discharged from the hospital after the shooting in the school on Monday evening. Her motivation behind the shooting is still unknown.

According to authorities on Monday, a second-grade kid called 911 to report the incident. At the site, authorities discovered a pistol. According to the chief, the family of Natalie ‘Samantha’ Rupnow is assisting the police. Age 15 Natalie who is a biological female was a student at the school with her going by Samantha Rupnow on her school ID.
A number of rumours regarding Natalie ‘Samantha’ Rupnow were spread by social media users, and some of them were disproved by law enforcement.

A number of people on social media asserted that 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow was transgender. She was a “biological female but identified as a male,” according to some. Officials, however, chose not to respond to the widely shared posts.
When questioned at a press conference if Natalie ‘Samatha’ Rupnow was transgender, Barnes responded that people should be more careful when posting about the shooter on social media. People must ‘leave aside’ their personal biases, Barnes highlighted.
He said as he refused to confirm if she was a trans, “I don’t think whatever happened today has anything to do with how she or he or they may want to identify.”
Action against Natalie ‘Samantha’ Rupnow’s parents
On X, some individuals even made allegations regarding the suspect’s parents. One user said that the father taught his child how to shoot with photos on Natalie’s father’s Facebook account of the two now viral as her social media profiles were deactivated.
“Will he face the same charges as those other parents?” someone inquired.
Police stated that they have no intention of charging the 15-year-old’s parents. “The parents are fully cooperating, we have no reason to believe that they have committed a crime at this time,” Barnes stated.
The Madison police chief went on to say that the purported manifesto that has been making the rounds on social media has not yet been confirmed to be officially written Natalie. Police has not been able to confirm its legitimacy. They are undoubtedly aware that it was uploaded, and that the poster is allegedly related to the victim.
Update – The boyfriend of Natalie "Samantha" Rupnow is actively responding to people and admitting that he knew her plans beforehand.
