When the son of a prominent gangster is abducted in an idiotic plot, the gangster is forced to work with the kidnapper, which causes a domino effect that causes much mayhem.
A stranger named Munna (Vijay Sethupathi), who comes to Mumbai with the intention of becoming a don, is the kidnapper.
Mumbaikar- Hit Or Flop?
Despite having an incredible cast, the film didn’t receive favourable reviews. In the same way, Mumbaikar fails to acknowledge the city whose name it proudly uses, it also fails to borrow the soul of the city from which it draws its title.
Maanagaram had a realistic tone from the beginning, however, the Hindi adaptation lacks that. Mumbaikar has an artificial feel to it because its settings and background were not initially well-established. It’s not very good how the characters are introduced.
