It may come as a shock to newbies when they learn that there is no cross-platform multiplayer for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak on the Nintendo Switch and Steam, know about crossplay
The MH DLC addition offers a lot to look forward to. It includes a tonne of new enemies for you to defeat, a huge selection of new weapons for you to use, and a few new places for you to explore.
Even though you won’t be able to play with buddies on various systems, it’s all extremely thrilling.
Is Monster Hunter Rise Cross Platform And Crossplay, Cross Progession Statusย
Sunbreak does not have cross-platform multiplayer between PC & Nintendo Switch because Monster Hunter Rise does not support cross-play.
The official website also reveals that MH does not enable cross-progression and cross-saving in addition to the absence of cross-platform gameplay. This means that no progress made on the Nintendo Switch may be transferred to Steam, and vice versa.
Regarding the lack of crossplay, its official Twitter account stated in 2021 that they had looked into it during the development phase but were unable to integrate support. Since then, there has been no update.

With Elgato serving as the game’s core town and including a new plot to follow there, Sunbreak is effectively set up like a brand-new game.
This story, which is again largely ignorable and completely predictable and is this time set in the European-themed Kingdom instead of the Japanese-inspired Kamura, is about something that is causing the local monsters to get hot and bothered.
Although the characters are now at least marginally more engaging this time around. Monster Hunter’s plot has never been its main selling point, and that certainly remains the case now.
