He claimed that, in addition to threatening him, the woman had threatened his family members with dire repercussions. A year after the same woman had already filed a case against him, Cariappa filed the complaint.
What has been the story?
Cariappa, a resident of Nagasandra’s Ramaiah Layout who is originally from Kodagu, Karnataka, told the police that he was indeed in a relationship with the woman. However, he was unable to maintain the relationship because of her drunkenness and drug use. He further stated that he even tried to convince her to quit drinking, but she was unwavering. In addition, she made threats to end her life and blamed him. Based on Cariappa’s accusation, a senior police officer verified that an inquiry is in progress.
However, the lady complained in 2022, saying the cricketer had given her abortion pills and gotten her pregnant. She asserted that Cariappa had made a marriage vow to her. Remarkably, the woman declared her intention to make another complaint and stated that she was not aware of Cariappa’s allegation.
An FIR has been filed against 29-year-old cricketer KC Cariappa, who had played for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL), by his former girlfriend and in her complaint, the player’s girlfriend accused him of making her pregnant and coercing her into abortion by feeding her abortion pills. Kariappa filed a counter-complaint against his former girlfriend alleging that she had threatened him saying she would end his cricket career.
In the complaint filed with RT Nagar police station, his ex-girlfriend, alleged that Cariappa made her pregnant when the two were in a relationship and then forcibly fed her abortion pills. Neha accused Cariappa of attempting to convince her not to file the case, promising her that he would marry her.

In 2019, Cariappa returned to KKR, taking Shivam Mavi’s place due to injury. KKR did, however, release him prior to the 2020 auction. Later, the Rajasthan Royals brought Cariappa into their lineup in 2021. In 11 IPL games, Cariappa has claimed eight wickets, with a 2/16 best average. In domestic, he represents Karnataka and made his List A debut for Karnataka in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2021.
