Is ‘InvertTheWing’ the burner account of new West Brom manager Ryan Mason on Twitter/X

Ryan Mason has been named head coach of West Brom. Mason, 33, arrived at the Hawthorns on a three-year contract after the Championship team, who fired Tony Mowbray on April 21, began negotiations with him last week.
In the midst of this, many social media users have alleged that Ryan is behind the Tottenham fan account known by ‘InvertTheWing’ on Twitter/X. Although the identity of the person behind the account isn’t known, many have claimed that the account which is an ardent fan of manager Ange Postecoglou is Ryan Mason’s burner account owing to the starking similarities between the two.
It all began when fans began to notice how ‘InvertTheWing’ and Ryan Mason not only shared the same birthday, 13 June, 1991 but also were going to turn 34 this year. In addition to this, ‘InvertTheWing’ also spoke about having a son like Ryan along with claiming he was going to land a new job soon.
This information has affirmed people’s belief that Ryan Mason himself runs the account with a bevy of memes being sparked after ‘InvertTheWing’ posted about how he was going to do a thread of Mason after he landed the West Brom job with many talking about how it would be fun to write an autobiography.
While it is yet not known who runs the Twitter/X account ‘InvertTheWing’ and if Mason is indeed the person behind it, fans are more than certain it is the ex-Spurs player.

“This is a huge club with a fantastic infrastructure and an incredible fanbase, and I am excited about what we can achieve together,” said Mason.
At the end of June, the former midfielder’s Spurs contract was supposed to expire.
After West Brom finished just outside the play-off spots last season, Mason will now try to lead the team back into the Premier League for the first time since 2020–21. Mason’s assistant is Nigel Gibbs, who joins from Reading, while Sam Pooley, who comes from Rangers, is the team’s head of performance and first-team coach.
After Jose Mourinho was fired from Tottenham in 2021, Mason became the club’s interim first-team manager after joining the coaching staff in April 2018 and playing a significant role in the academy.

Since then, he has been a member of Tottenham’s senior staff, and after Antonio Conte left in 2023, he was appointed interim head coach a second time. During the tenure of Ange Postecoglou, Mason continued to serve as a senior coach.
