Over the past few years, several groups of YouTubers have gone on to host charity football matches drawing in huge crowds and selling out stadiums.

Popular YouTube collective, Beta Squad recently went head-to-head against team AMP in a charity football match. The match took place on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Selhurst Park Stadium, London, England, home to Premier League side Crystal Palace. Notably, the match featured a mix of various YouTubers and popular social media stars from across the globe. The event was seemingly put together to raise money for the Water Project.
The AMP team featured the likes of famous personalities like Twitch streamer Kai Cenat, British YouTubers WillNe, Angry Ginge, and American sensation Sketch. Meanwhile, the Beta Squad featured its members Niko Omilana, Chunkz, AJ Shabeel, Sharky, and King Kenny TV. During the match, the AMP team had a mystery professional footballer who supposedly plays for a Premier League side. The mystery player remained masked throughout the match, much to the curiosity of fans watching.
Ahead of the match, Beta Squad member Sharky explained:
This player will be wearing a mask and the reason is because this player has played in the Premier League and is playing current professional football – Champions League level. So we can’t reveal his identity.”
Fans claim to have figured out identity of mystery player
Following the match, fans have come out on social media claiming that they have managed to figure out the identity of the mystery Premier League player. Notably, many fans on social media believe that the mystery player was Tottenham Hotspur full-back Djed Spence.
While it is yet to be officially confirmed who the masked player was, fans also realised Djed’s sister Karla watched from the stands and she posted snaps on Instagram.

Interestingly, the Beta Squad vs. AMP charity match is set for a rematch in the United States. The organizers had to abandon it in stoppage time with the score level at 6-6 following a pitch invasion.
