Ms. Priim, of Annie Street, Keighley, represented England in the 2017 World Cup and played for the Bradford Bulls and Leeds Rhinos in the Women’s Super League.
She became the Rugby Football League’s (RFL) vice-president earlier this year after retiring from competition in 2021.
After being accused of s*xually abusing a woman, Danika Priim voluntarily resigned from her role as Rugby Football League vice president.
As she gets ready to appear before Leeds Crown Court on March 13th, the governing body has confirmed in a statement that Priim has stepped down from her position. After an incident at Horsforth Cricket Club in July 2022, Priim was charged with sexually assaulting a lady.
In that statement, the RFL said: “The Rugby Football League can confirm that it has been agreed that Danika Priim will voluntarily stand down from her role as RFL Vice President whilst ongoing legal proceedings take place. The Rugby Football League will be making no further comment until completion of the legal proceedings.”
The 40 year old is currently single and unmarried.

Danika Priim was born in Leeds. She attended Leeds Beckett University to study physical education and earned teaching credential. She represented the university in rugby union, but it wasn’t until 2015 that she returned to rugby league when she joined Stanningley. Priim was chosen to play for England while attending Stanningley, and on June 17, 2015, she made her debut in the team’s 24–4 triumph over France.
In order to be fit to play for England in the 2017 Women’s Rugby League World Cup, Priim moved to Bradford Bulls for the first Women’s Super League season. She was a part of the team that won the league title and the Challenge Cup, but she missed the Challenge Cup Final because of an injury and the Super League Grand Final.
