About Riyan Parag
For the curious, the Indian cricketer who represents Assam in domestic cricket was born in Guwahati, Assam, India on November 10, 2001, as Riyan Parag Das. He represents the Rajasthan Royals team in the IPL. The right-handed batter is approximately 6 ft 0 in (183 cm) tall.
Riyan’s talent shone early as he contributed to the Indian Under-19 team’s victory in the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Riyan started his journey as a cricketer at the tender age of 14, however, due to a discrepancy with the Assam selectors, who did not align with the state’s coach at the time, Sanath Kumar, this milestone was missed.
Riyan eventually entered the Twenty-20 arena for Assam during the 2016–17 Inter-State Twenty-20 Tournament on January 29, 2017. In October 2017, he earned a spot in India’s roster for the 2017 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup.
