At the National Democratic Alliance Parliamentary meeting in Delhi on Friday, Kangana Ranaut, the recently elected BJP MP, enjoyed a pleasant reunion with Chirag Kumar Paswan. Paswan is the president of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and a former co-star.
The two had collaborated on a 2011 film called Mile Na Mile Hum in addition to being fellow aspiring lawmakers.

41-year-old Chirag Kumar Paswan was born on 31 Oct 1982. He is 1.83m tall. In 1983, Reena Sharma, an Amritsar-born air hostess and his father Ram Vilas Paswan, a former Union Minister and founder of the Lok Janshakti Party got married.

In 2003, Chirag Paswan completed his education at the National Institute of Open Schooling in Delhi.
Paswan left college in the third semester of his computer engineering degree. He featured alongside Kangana Ranaut in the Hindi film Miley Naa Miley Hum (2011) after quitting college.

Chirag Kumar Paswan ran for the Lok Janshakti Party in the 2014 elections, running in the Jamui seat. He won the seat by more over 85,000 votes, besting his closest opponent, Rashtriya Janata Dal’s Sudhansu Shekhar Bhaskar. Paswan defeated his closest opponent, Bhudeo Choudhary, in the 2019 election to keep his seat by garnering 528,771 votes overall.
Paswan is also the owner of Chirag Ka Rojgar, an NGO that works to give jobs to young people in his state who are unemployed.
In the 2014 Indian general election, Paswan was elected from the Jamui constituency in Bihar as a member of the 16th Lok Sabha, while his father was elected from the Hajipur constituency by the Lok Janshakti Party.
Paswan gave ₹1.11 lakh on February 27, 2021, for the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. On June 14, 2021, Pashupati Kumar Paras, Chirag’s uncle, succeeded him as the LJP’s Lok Sabha leader. The following day, Chirag banished five rebel MPs, including his cousin Prince Raj and uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras for their anti-party activities.
In the Hajipur constituency of Bihar, Chirag Kumar Paswan defeated Shiv Chandra Ram of the RJD by a margin of 1,70,105 votes, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI) website.
