The 40-year-old, Canadian Sniper worked as a computer programmer prior to the onset of the Russia-Ukraine war. He quit his work and his family to enlist in the International Legion of Ukraine’s Territorial Defense.
He is a citizen of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The sniper’s actual identity is unknown, however, he is known by the Arabic moniker “Wali,” which means “guardian.”
He has requested to be recognized by the codename he was assigned in Afghanistan due to his family’s safety in Quebec. His family and friends have gathered to celebrate his child’s first birthday while he is fighting for Ukraine.

Wali holds the record for the longest kill at 3540 metres, which means that if a skilled sniper averages 7-10 kills per day, Wali may average 40 kills per day.
