Charles “Chuck” Clark Jr is an American football strong safety for New York Jets, however, he was first ever recruited into NFL by Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore Ravens drafted Clark in the sixth round of the NFL Draft in 2017.

On the 20th of May, during the early hours of Sunday morning, Ravens fans got an alert that a man named Chuck had left this world.

“An icon,” the Twitter account of Ravens Nation LIVE wrote along with a picture of Chuck. “Rest in peace, Chuck. Mental health is real and prayers for his family tonight.”

Without specifying who was Chuck, some were led to believe that it was the current Jets’ safety, Chuck Clark.

This was no malicious death hoax that began with the intention of misleading the football fans, but an unfortunate case of few confusions. Just this month, we’ve seen billionaire George Soros and Eminem being subjected to such rumors, although they both are alive as of today.

Who was Ravens fan Chuck?

The tweet which has sparked the original death hoax was regarding a late Baltimore Ravens fan. A cartoon image illustrated is taken from the fan’s social media, marking a tribute to him and not Chuck Clark Jr.

Ravens fan, Chuck was well-known amongst all supporters. Chuck was involved in the Discord debates and he built up massive social media following. Being a part of Ravens Flock, Chuck gained 12,000 followers on Twitter and 15,000 on his Instagram.

On Saturday, 20th of May, Chuck posted on his Twitter account, a concerning message. “Sorry gang. I really hope that the Baltimore Ravens do well but this will be the last tweet of mine,” Chuck wrote. “Thanks for the debates and laughs which we had.”

Chuck uploaded a string of Instagram stories with concerning posts written on his life.
