Check out if Angel Reese is related to Shaq, as uncle Tweet goes goes viral
Under Angel Reese’s leadership, LSU earned its first NCAA women’s basketball title on Sunday.
Reese, however, faced criticism for making fun of Caitlin Clark of Iowa close to the end of the contest.
Dave Portnoy and Keith Olbermann were the only two stars to criticise Reese on Twitter. Portnoy called her a “classless piece of sh*t” and Olbermann called her a “f***ing idiot.”
Meanwhile, Shaquille O’Neal attacked Portnoy and Olbermann in defence of Reese. He reacted to Portnoy, who had previously been accused of sexual misconduct, admirably. The LA Lakers legend also told Olbermann to “shut up.”

Are Shaq and Angel Reese related?
Shaquille O’Neal tweeted in favour of Angel Reese, to which Angel Reese replied:

On social media, fans quickly began to speculate about the possible ancestry of Reese and O’Neal. However, they are not related. Only affectionately was O’Neal referred to as Reese’s uncle.
But they do share one thing: they both went to LSU. O’Neal was a star at the university from 1989 to 1992, and Reese assisted the Tigers in winning their first NCAA women’s basketball title.
O’Neal’s son Shareef and daughter Amirah both played for the men’s and women’s teams in recent years. The Hall of Famer commonly visits campus to catch football matches.
Talking about the game, Angel Reese scored 15 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as LSU defeated Iowa on Sunday, 102-85.
Reese was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player after averaging 23.3 points, 15.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game.
Reese got 52.7% as well. Thus, it is evident that her choice to move from Maryland to LSU was a wise one.
The accomplishments she made on the court were ultimately overshadowed by her remarks about Caitlin Clark. Reese, however, was unrepentant and stuck by her decisions.
She told the media following the game that everyone was only searching for something to complain about.
She also gave an explanation for why Clark received less criticism when she made the same motion during Iowa’s win over Louisville in the Elite Eight.
