Sharma, who is currently working as an Additional SP in Bulandshahr, turned to social media to relay the touching story of how the police were able to provide power to the home of Noorjahan, a 70-year-old woman.

Who is Anukriti Sharma?
Anukriti Sharma is an Indian IPS officer. She has been in the news because she brings light and joy to the life of a 70-year-old woman by successfully bringing electricity to her home.
She is a native of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Her father is a retired government officer, whereas her mother is an English lecturer. She is married, and according to reports, her husband played an important role in her life.
Anukriti Sharma passed the IIT JEE exam in 2007 and was accepted into the Kolkata-based Indian Institute of Science Education and Research. After receiving her diploma, she continued her education at Rice University in the USA.
Nonetheless, she was still quite motivated to study for the Civil Service Exam. In order to study for the UPSC test, Anukriti made the decision to go back to India. She succeeded on her third try, earning the 355th overall position, and was chosen for the Indian Revenue Service (IRS).
She retook the exam in an effort to raise her rank, and she succeeded, earning the 138th overall rank and being appointed an IPS officer. While her DOB isn’t known, she is aged between 30-35 years.
Anukriti Sharma’s husband played a crucial role in her journey by becoming her teacher during the exam preparation and with Geography as her optional subject, her husband served as her tutor and supported her in improving her strategies and scores. Anukriti attributes her success to her husband’s unwavering support, considering him a co-aspirant throughout the process but his name isn’t known.
Her career
After becoming an officer trainee at the Indian Revenue Service, Anukriti Sharma joined the civil service as an IPS officer. She is an IPS officer from the 2020 batch who is now working in Bulandshahr as an Additional SP.
