Price Of The Deals
According to a report by, VIVO has withdrawn as the title sponsor of the IPL 2022 season, with the BCCI picking Tata as the alternative. TATA is slated to become the IPL’s sixth official on-ground sponsor. According to the reports, Star India has a five-year agreement with the BCCI, for which it has paid the board INR 16,347 crore (INR 54.5 crore per match).

According to the report, the BCCI generated INR 12,715 crore by selling just two teams by including Lucknow and Ahmedabad franchises in the IPL 2022. A team’s average price tag has risen to Rs 6,357 crore, a staggering 17-fold increase in just 13 years.
