IPL Players Salary: Will the players receive their full salary for IPL 2021?

Yes, the players will receive their full salary for IPL 2021, even if BCCI fails to complete the remaining matches of the 14th edition of the tournament.

The first of the three instalments was paid by the franchises at the beginning of the league while the players have to wait for the league to be completed or to be cancelled before they receive the remaining two instalments.

The BCCI is looking for a window in September, later this year to just before the World T20 which is scheduled in October to finish the remaining  31 games of this year’s edition. There are chances of the tournament being played overseas, just like in 2020 if the situation doesn’t improve in India.

The English county clubs have shown interest in hosting the remainder of the IPL. UAE too conducted a smooth IPL season last year. So, these two are the available options if BCCI and the IPL committee decide to organize the tournament outside India.

The chances of IPL 2021 resuming and completing the remaining games are quite high as the BCCI looks very determined to finish the remaining games.
