The IPL’s Fair Play Award Points are calculated in the following way.
- A total of ten points can be awarded to a side every match.
- Four points are awarded based on how well the team adhered to the “spirit of the game,” as determined by the umpires.
- The remaining three criteria are based on respect for the opponent, cricket rules, and umpires. These three requirements are worth two points each.
- A team’s performance is regarded “good” if it receives two points in the criteria, whereas one or zero points indicate “average” or “poor” performance, respectively.
Points Distribution Criteria
Having stated that, the list of points distribution criteria for the IPL fair pay award 2022 is as follows. The two on-field umpires and the third umpire will decide on the point allocation.
- For playing in the correct spirit of the game, 4 points are awarded.
- For demonstrating respect to the opposition, 2 points are awarded.
- 2 points for adhering to the game’s rules.
- 2 points for treating the umpires with respect.
As a result, a team’s score might range from perfect 10 to zero.
