As preparations for the TATA IPL 2025 get underway, check out all the details of the official player auction set to take place in Saudi Arabia below.
Notably, the upcoming event will mark the first-ever IPL auction to ever take place in the Saudi Arabia.

Ahead of the event, the IPL made a major announcement stating that this year’s player auction will take place on November 24 and 25, 2024.
TATA IPL 2025 Mega Player Auction preview
The 10 franchises will have a total of 204 slots up-for-grabs, with teams looking to form a balanced squad. Franchises will most probably focus on securing all-rounders, power-hitters, and death-over specialists roles. Moreover, overseas players will also be in high demand as top international cricketers eye a spot in the league. Aside from the big players, franchises will also look to sign young, uncapped players with great potential to become stars.
IPL 2025 mega auction will take place on November 24 (Sunday) and November 25 (Monday) and with over 200 slots up for grabs, the IPL 2025 mega auction is set to start as early as 11 AM IST on two days of bidding process. Live streaming will be available on Star Sports and Disney+Hotstar.
IPL 2025 Player Auction registered players
The upcoming event will feature over 1,500 registered players, after the player registrations closed on November 4, 2024. Given below is the full breakdown of the players list:
