The Indian Premier (IPL) competition, the country’s most cherished and prosperous domestic sports competition, has player auctions annually before its commencement. One of the most extravagant activities that takes place before the league starts is the auction.
The IPL teams have till November 26 to release the final list of players they plan to keep. This day holds importance as it establishes the lineups for the upcoming season, affecting tactics and maybe having an effect on the IPL team’s success.
In recent days, the clubs have exchanged several players, and a few well-known stars have decided not to play in the IPL 2024.
Many of the participants need a new place to live, while a smaller number will be up for bid on December 19 2023, in Dubai, the elites’ paradise where the IPL 2024 auction is set to take place. The Mumbai Indians, where Hardik Pandya’s IPL career started, may welcome him back. There is talk about him coming back as a potential Rohit Sharma replacement after two seasons with the Gujarat Titans.
Avesh Khan transferred to the Rajasthan Royals, while Devdutt Padikkal moved from the Rajasthan Royals to the Lucknow Super Giants, among other high-profile transfers that have already occurred. The transfer of Shabaz Ahmed from Sunrisers Hyderabad to Royal Challengers Bangalore for Mayank Dagar has also made headlines.
Teams have released players in order to make room on their squad for new players ahead of the IPL 2024 auction.
