The 2023 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is slated to start on March 31 and last until May 28. The matches will be held at 12 locations spread across several cities, including Hyderabad.

There will be 10 teams again this season. The number of IPL teams increased from eight to ten last year with the addition of two new franchises, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants.

Seventy league games in all will be contested during IPL 2023 with 10 teams divided into two groups.

It has been done based on how frequently teams have advanced to the tournament’s final and then been named IPL Champions.

  • Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) – KL Rahul
  • Mumbai Indians (MI) – Rohit Sharma
  • Punjab Kings (PBKS) – Shikhar Dhawan

There will be a total of 14 games for each side. Each side will play its seven home games with home fans present, and the other seven games will be played away from their respective home stadiums.

Mumbai Indians won the IPL championship five times, while Chennai Super Kings won four times, during the course of the competition’s 15 seasons. The others are Gujarat Titans which won the competition once, the Rajasthan Royals once, and the Kolkata Knight Riders twice.
