Rohit Sharma also took 13 catches in a season back in 2012. Now Riyan Parag has surpassed both of them in the list and is now only behind AB De Villiers.
Riyan has shown some great temperament while catching as he rarely panics while taking skiers. He is someone who makes difficult catches look easy with his calmness. Parag has now 15 catches on his name this season and there are yet at least 2 games left in the playoffs for him.

The modern-day legend was a freak on the field. He took 19 catches in just 16 games of IPL 2016. ABD in IPL 2016 was a beast for RCB as he scored more than 500 runs and took 19 catches. De Villiers tops the list of most catches in a single IPL season with 19 catches. Riyan Parag is only 4 behind the MR.360 and has at least 2 games in hand now. It will be interesting to see whether he’ll be able to surpass him or not.
