  1. Karn Sharma – Chennai Super Kings

The 33-year-old spinner cum all-rounder was retained by Chennai Super Kings for INR. 5 crore. Although he did feature is the last edition and took 5 wickets while playing for the same number of games, his presence is still awaited in IPL 2021.

With the likes of Ravindra Jadeja completely handling the spin department for CSK in this edition, it has made sure that CSK could bat deep and play with an extra batsman rather than opting for Karn Sharma in the starting XI.

  1. Anrich Nortje – Delhi Capitals

Not only did he announce himself in the grandest of fashion in the previous edition of the IPL, but also clocked the fastest ball ever bowled in this cash-rich league ever. Andre Nortje took 22 wickets to support Kagiso Rabada perfectly in IPL 2020, however with the inclusion of Chris Woakes in the DC roster for the 2021 edition, Nortje has been unable to feature himself even in a single game as of yet.

He was retained the by the Delhi Capitals for INR. 30 lakhs, yet with DC giving a chance to Tom Curran, in the initial game saw Nortje unable to make any impression in IPL 2021 yet.

  1. Lockie Ferguson

The new Zealand all-rounder proved to be an X-factor for Kolkata Knight Riders since his first game in the previous edition in UAE. Having being named the Man of the Match, Ferguson’s raw pace helped and pace variation helped him fetch 6 wickets at an economy of just over 7 for the 2-time IPL champions.

However as Sunil Narain and Shakib ul Hasan both getting a chance to feature in games ahead of Lockie Ferguson, we are yet to get glimpses of his pace in IPL 2021.

Known to give an explosive start to the innings, Roy could chanc the momentum of any team within a match’s time. Not only is he a power-hitter but can contrinute significantly in the field as well.

However, with this edition proving to be a disastrous one for former Sunrisers Hyderabad captain, David Warner as per their regular standard, Jason Roy could get him chance soon.
