New Zealand cricket team is scheduled to play a 3 matches each ODI and T20I series against Pakistan in September in the UAE. The series is fixed after a signed commitment by the New Zealand Cricket to PCB.

This means that the series cannot be postponed or canceled and the New Zealand players including Kane Williamson will be unavailable for the league if it’s organized in September.

Rashid Khan may also miss the tournament, as the Afghanistan national side will be playing a series against Pakistan as well during that time.

It will be a huge blow for the tournament as many Kiwi players are an important part of the IPL franchises. Sunrisers Hyderabad will be the most affected team if this happens.
