IPL 2021 New UAE Schedule, Teams Playing 11, League Standings, Predictions

IPL 2021 which was earlier scheduled during April and May window was disrupted halfway, know about its new UAE schedule

Due to a lot of staff members testing positive of the Covid-19, IPL 2021 was curtailed midway. This caused the organizers to shift the remaining tournament to UAE which will commence not less than a month from now.

In this article, we will talk about all the teams, where they stand, and where they can finish and their probable 11 playing along with the IPL 2021 new schedule.

IPL 2021 New UAE Schedule, Playing 11, Predictions, Date, Time

Delhi Capitals (1st Position)

Delhi capitals have performed really well under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant. Winning 6 out of 8 matches came out as a surprise. Last year’s runner-ups are indeed a powerhouse with a strong core. Now that Injured Shreyas Iyer is also joining in, I guess the team has the best chance to win its maiden title.

Probable Playing 11-

  1. Shikhar Dhawan
  2. Prithvi Shaw
  3. Shreyas Iyer (C)
  4. Rishabh Pant (WK)
  5. Shimron Hetmyer
  6. Marcus Stoinis
  7. Axar Patel
  8. Ravi Ashwin
  9. Chris Woakes/ Tom Curran
  10. Kagiso Rabada
  11. Avesh Khan

Shreyas Iyer who has a really good track record as captain shall be given the chance to lead.

Chennai Super Kings (2nd Positions)

Chennai Super Kings have always been crowd favorites because of the Dhoni factor. The team which couldn’t perform and qualifies in the last season is 2nd in the Points table now. They are more likely to qualify for the playoffs.

Probable 11-

  1. Ruturaj Gaikwad
  2. Far Du Plessis
  3. Suresh Raina
  4. Moeen Ali
  5. Ambati Rayudu
  6. M.S. Dhoni (C) (WK)
  7. Ravindra Jadeja
  8. Sam Curran
  9. Dwayne Bravo
  10. Shardul Thakur
  11. Deepak Chahar

Lungi Ngidi can also play in place of Bravo. This team has a real batting depth as all of them can bat.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (3rd Position)

Royal Challengers Bangalore finished in the top 3 after the first half. RCB who always has a very strong team couldn’t win any title but were runner-ups quite a few times. Though this time it seems they can take hold of the trophy

Probable 11

  1. Virat Kohli (C)
  2. Devdutt Padikall
  3. AB De Villiers (WK)
  4. Glenn Maxwell
  5. Shahbaz Ahmed
  6. Washington Sundar
  7. Harshal Patel
  8. Daniel Sams
  9. Kyle Jamieson
  10. Mohammed Siraj
  11. Yuzvendra Chahal

This team has a really good spin attack which will help in UAE conditions.

Mumbai Indians (4th Position)

The defending champions finished at the 4th position after the first half. Despite having a strong team won only 4 out of their 7 matches. They do have a strong team and are favorites of defending the title but I think they will just qualify.

 Probable 11

  1. Rohit Sharma (C)
  2. Quinton De Kock (WK)
  3. Surya Kumar Yadav
  4. Ishan Kishan
  5. Hardik Pandya
  6. Krunal Pandya
  7. Kieron Pollard
  8. Rahul Chahar
  9. Nathan Coulter-Nile
  10. Trent Boult
  11. Jaspreet Bumrah

This bowling lineup can win any match anywhere.

Rajasthan Royals (5th position)

The team won the first-ever IPL but after that, it has been a complete turnover for the team. The team has quite a few good players and the potential to qualify but the fight for the trophy is hard.

Probable 11-

  1. Jos Buttler
  2. Yashasvi Jaiswal
  3. Sanju Samson (C) (WK)
  4. Manan Vohra
  5. Liam Livingstone
  6. David Miller
  7. Shivam Dube
  8. Rahul Tewatia
  9. Kartik Tyagi
  10. Chetan Sakariya
  11. Mustafizur Rehman

If the team fires to its full potential. There’s no catching them

Punjab Kings (6th Position)

Punjab Kings didn’t do well in the first half of the tournament. Despite having power hitters like Gayle, Malan, and Pooran the management couldn’t work on a constant playing 11 which led to the team only winning 3 out of their 8 matches. They can qualify but for that, they have to fire from the start of the second half.

Probable 11-

  1. K.L. Rahul (C) (WK)
  2. Mayank Aggarwal
  3. Chris Gayle
  4. Dawid Malan
  5. Deepak Hooda
  6. Shahrukh Khan
  7. Nicholas Pooran
  8. Ravi Bishnoi
  9. Murugan Ashwin
  10. Arshdeep Singh
  11. Jhye Richardson

The lineup is best suited for T20s as it has good batting depth along with power hitters.

Kolkata Knight Riders (7th Position)

2 times IPL winners under Gautam Gambhir are struggling after his departure. The team is full of match-winners yet they only won 2 out of their 7 matches. The team changed captain’s mid-seasons because of the failing run. Their qualification is dicey.

Probable 11

  1. Shubman Gill
  2. Nitish Rana
  3. Shakib Al Hasan
  4. Andre Russel
  5. Dinesh Karthik (WK)
  6. Eoin Morgan (C)
  7. Sunil Narine
  8. Shivam Mavi
  9. Varun Chakravarthy
  10. Prasidh Krishna
  11. Kamlesh Nagrkoti

KKR has a lot of young blood which will help them with experience in the future years but for now, it’s tough for them to win.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (8th Position)

Who we’re looking at as crowd favorites didn’t stand up to the expectations of the fans. Finishing as table enders at midway, a comeback of the team looks right next to impossible. Winning only 1 match out of their 7 and having captaincy issues is not less than an alarm for the management. According to my, the franchise can finish at 5th position at best.

Probable 11-

  1. David Warner
  2. Jonny Bairstow/ Jason Roy
  3. Manish Pandey
  4. Priyam Garg
  5. Vijay Shankar
  6. Kedar Jadhav
  7. Abdul Samad
  8. Rashid Khan
  9. T Natarajan
  10. Sandeep Sharma
  11. Bhuvneshwar Kumar

The lineup looks strong on paper and is potentially able to win the trophy but the stats are not in favor of them. They’ll barely finish 5th or 6th.
