Every season in the IPL there are a couple of teams who stamp their authority onto the others and confirm their spot in the playoffs before the business end of the season. But in IPL 2021, there was no one after 7-8 respective games, who had affirmatively confirmed their spot for the same.

Not only that, there were some teams who were struggling since the beginning be it because of inconsistency or their overseas depth opting out. In this article we would be looking at the top 3 teams who would be happy with the IPL 2021 getting postponed indefinitely.

  1. Sunrisers Hyderabad

Unlike many seasons in the past, Sunrisers Hyderabad were struggling big time in IPL 2021 and would mightily be relieved that the 14th edition is suspended. Sunrisers won just 1 game out of the 7 they played, courtesy to their former captain David Warner failing to fire.

Not only Warner, but every other batsman apart from Jonny Bairstow and Kane Williamson was failing to make an impact in this edition and as a result they stood last in the IPL 2021 Table.

We are used to see Kolkata Knight Riders fighting for the top 4 spots in the table. But in the IPL 2021 edition, all the KKR squad kept on showing individual glimpses of brilliance but failed to perform as a unit.

It was often the case that Kolkata Knight Riders were led by either of their one top order or by the last batting personnel.

  1. Rajasthan Royals

Undoubedtly Rajasthan Royals would be the most happy squad with IPL 2021 getting suspended as their marquee English duo of Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes were ruled out. While Liam Livingstone and Andre Tye decided to opt out of the tournament because of Covid-19.

Although, their squad did fight in order to remain alive in the tournament and also did a good job by scoring 6 points regardless of being short-handed.
