On the 2022 PDC Pro Tour, the Interwetten German Darts Grand Prix was the third of thirteen PDC European Tour tournaments. From April 16 to 18, 2022, the competition was held at the Zenith in Munich. It had a field of 48 players and a prize pool of £140,000, with the winner receiving £25,000.
After defeating Simon Whitlock 8–3 in the 2019 final, Michael van Gerwen is the reigning champion. However, Luke Humphries knocked van Gerwen out in the semifinals. Humphries won the tournament with an 8-2 victory over Martin Lukeman in the final.
PDC Interwetten German Darts Grand Prix 2022 Tournament Format
The event’s top 16 entrants from the PDC ProTour Order of Merit on 1 February were automatically qualified and seeded in the second round. Players from six qualifying events, competed for the remaining 32 spots including 24 spots in the Tour Card Holder Qualifier.
In the first, second, third rounds, and quarterfinals, all matches were contested over the best of 11 legs. All matches in the semi-finals were best of 13 legs. The Final was contested over the best of 15 legs format.

Luke Humphries won his first European Tour title at the 2022 Interwetten German Darts Grand Prix at Zenith in Munich on Monday night final. Humphries has advanced one step closer to the sport’s top after winning the German Darts Grand Prix, which was capped by an 8-2 triumph over Martin Lukeman in the final on Monday night.
Humphries also whitewashed Michael van Gerwen 7-0 in the semi-finals with a masterful performance, average 107 and completing seven doubles from 12 attempts while limiting the Dutchman to just one dart at the outer ring.
