A look at Inter Miami’s home stadium
The DRV PNK Stadium, which is pronounced “Drive Pink Stadium” but is really spelled without vowels, is where Inter Miami holds its home games. The squad made their league debut in 2020, and they have competed there in each of their four seasons as an MLS team, including the 2023 season.
The location of the stadium is in Fort Lauderdale, which is roughly 33 miles north of downtown Miami and 21 miles from Hard Rock Stadium, the NFL team’s Miami Dolphins’ home field. With a capacity of 18,000 spectators and ongoing intentions to increase that number to 21,000 after Messi’s arrival, the stadium was built especially for Inter Miami. It is estimated that the project cost roughly $60 million.
Inter Miami’s future stadium plans
DRV PNK Stadium was built to serve as their home stadium, however the team has frequently claimed that they intend to eventually move to a larger stadium when their MLS status rises. Following approval for development work to start in 2022, the club hopes to relocate into their new home at Freedom Park before the 2025 MLS season.
The new location, which is located in downtown Miami, will feature a stadium with a seating capacity of 25,000 along with a golf course, hotel rooms, retail and office space, community fields, and the biggest public park in Miami.
