Her family has also shared an official statement regarding her death. The statement said,
“Smt. Ghattamaneni Indira Devi, wife of veteran actor Krishna and mother of Mahesh Babu passed away a short while ago. She had been suffering from illness for quite some time now. Her mortal remains will be kept at Padmalaya Studios for fans to visit at 9 am today and later the last rites will be performed at Maha Prasthanam.”

Who Is Indira Devi?
Indira Devi was well-known for being the first wife of veteran actor Krishna and the mother of actor Mahesh Babu. She has been in the news because she died recently.
Her full name was Ghattamaneni Indira Devi. She was born on April 20, 2022, in Andra Pradesh. She was a housewife.
At the time of her death, she was divorced. However, she was married to actor Krishna. She had two real sons and their names are Mahesh Babu who is a well-known actor and Ramesh Babu who is also an actor. She also had three daughters and their names are Padmavathi, Manjula, and Priyadarsini.
She also has one stepson and his name is Naresh.
She died on September 28, 2022, in AIG hospital in Hyderabad. At the time of her death, she was 70 years old.
Her Cause Of Death
Due to her medical conditions, Indira Devi had been a patient at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad for the last several days. She had been suffering from health issues, because of which she could not handle her health and succumbed to them.
Later on in the day, her funeral was held at Maha Prasthanam.
